The NEMRA Cup Invitational was established by Todd Nelson in 2006. Todd was looking for a way to give back to the industry and felt that raising money for the NEMRA Scholarship Fund through an invitational golf tournament was the best way to do so. The 2006 invitational tournament raised $10,000 in scholarship funds and provided an incredible opportunity for networking and relationship building with leaders across the manufacturer and representative community.
The National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Educational Scholarship Foundation was established to reward the academic excellence of the sons and daughters of the NEMRA members and their employees. The foundation was founded in 1985 through a generous bequest of the late Donald Egan of the Daniel Woodhead Company. That year, the foundation awarded its first three scholarships. Since then, the fund has grown considerably. Due to the generous contributions from our membership, and industry friends, the NEMRA Education Scholarship Foundation currently awards 18 scholarships annually.
